Overnight Muesli/Oats

A healthy and delicious breakfast, so easy that the kids can make it themselves.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup (50 grams) basic muesli mix
  • ½ Tbsp ground/crushed flaxseeds
  • ½ Tbsp chia seeds
  • ¼ cup (30 grams) frozen wild blueberries
  • 1 cup (200 ml) full fat milk
  • (optional) toppings of choice (or fresh fruits/berries)

Method
 

  1. Add all the muesli ingredients (except the toppings) into a bowl. Mix until well incorporated. The chia seeds should soak well into the liquid.
  2. Cover and leave on room temperature (but cooler than 22 degrees) overnight.
  3. Next morning, add your preferred toppings and enjoy.

Notes

  • The given quantities are for one portion. If making bigger quantity, you could double or triple the ingredients. 
  • Please note that the muesli will absorb the milk overnight, so do not reduce the milk content.
  • If it is too hot for the muesli to be left on room temperature overnight, you could leave it into the fridge overnight too. It might take it longer for the muesli to soak the liquid in that case.
