Kachumbar salad (Kachoomar Salad)

The favourite classic salad of the Indian subcontinent.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Persian cucumbers or 1 English cucumber
  • 1 medium ripe tomato
  • 1 medium red onion
  • ΒΌ cup fresh coriander
  • juice of half lime
  • salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Dice the veggies into fine pieces.
  2. Add the lime juice, salt and pepper. Mix gently with hands to combine. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can add kachumbar salad to yogurt, along with some black salt to make kachumbar raita. Its also a great way to use any leftover kachumbar salad.
