A simple, yet the most classic salad of the Indian subcontinent.

Kachumbar or kachoomar Salad derives its name from the word kachoomar, meaning mixture. It’s usually a rustic kind of salad, with a rough mix of mainly three main ingredients: Cucumber, Tomato and Onion. The addition of herbs like coriander or mint is optional. The salad goes well with most desi dishes, but specially along rice dishes. To make a more refined version, dice the veggies small and even.
